Clinical
For this procedure, the doctor uses a very fine needle to sample cells and examine them under the microscope. This test can be uncomfortable, but only takes a few minutes. They take small samples of cells and are carried to the laboratory for analysis.
Biopsy wedge
For this procedure, the doctor makes an incision through the skin and get a piece in the form of wedge of tumor tissue and sends it to the laboratory for analysis. Sometimes it is used for this type of biopsy when other methods of biopsy have been unable to confirm a diagnosis
Cytology and Pathology
The pathology is the study of disease, which specifically notes cells and the types of processes of the disease in order to determine the cause. The pathological examinations are carried out with samples of fluid or tissue to determine the cell type (cytology) of a specific evil. The process of observing these samples may include the use of microscopes, electron microscopes and several dyes. This refers to a special technique of dying cells to identify specific types of tumours of mesothelioma. Some dyes and colors are added to the biopsy samples of the patient and depending upon how you respond to the fabric dyeing, the doctor may then make a better diagnosis of the disease and its consequences. In making the diagnosis, while more information about the tumor is taken, the better the doctor may recommend the most appropriate treatmen.
